i-PRF is the next generation of platelet-rich therapy. A small amount of your own blood is drawn and processed to concentrate the growth factors — proteins that your body naturally uses to heal and regenerate tissue.

Blood draw
A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm — similar to a standard blood test. This takes just a few minutes.

Processing
Your blood is placed in a centrifuge which separates and concentrates the platelet-rich fibrin — the growth factor component.

Scalp injection
The concentrated i-PRF is injected precisely into the areas of thinning. A numbing cream is applied first for comfort.

i-PRF is the evolution of PRP. It uses a more advanced processing method that produces a higher concentration of growth factors and a fibrin matrix — which allows growth factors to release more slowly and effectively. Most practitioners consider i-PRF to be superior to traditional PRP.
Most patients see meaningful results after a course of 3 sessions, spaced 4 — 6 weeks apart. Those with more advanced hair loss may benefit from a course of 6. This is discussed and agreed at your free consultation.
A numbing cream is applied to the scalp before treatment to minimise discomfort. Most patients describe the sensation as mild pressure rather than pain. The injections themselves take around 20 — 30 minutes.
Most patients notice reduced shedding after 4 — 6 weeks, with visible new growth typically appearing from 3 months onwards. Results continue to improve for up to 6 — 12 months after a full course.
No. i-PRF is a walk-in, walk-out treatment. You may experience mild redness or tenderness at the injection sites for 24 — 48 hours, but most patients return to normal activity immediately.
